LOCAL RULES

To be read in conjunction with the Rule of Golf

Out of Bounce (Rule 18)
1. Out of Bounds is defined by the white stakes, white lines and boundary fence surrounding the course.
2. All residential properties, whether develop/occupied or not are Out of Bounds.
3. The original ball that was lost or out of bounds is no longer in play and must not be played.
Penalty Areas (Rule 17)

Penalty areas are defined by red stakes or red lines. When both stakes and line are used, the stakes identify the penalty area and the line defines the margin. Drop zone must be used by the 6th, 16th and 18th green.

Immovable Obstructions (Rule 16)

The following are defined as Immovable Obstructions and relief may be taken under Rule 16.1

Penalty area stakes, distance markers, tee signs, directional signs, trees/plants, halfway house, pump house, buggy paths and relative constructions, lamp posts, sand containers, benches, waste bins, control boxes, sprinkler heads, drainage sumps, manhole covers, safety nets, artificial linings embedded, other artificial surfaces and constructions.

A player may take free relief under Rule 16.1b if his/her ball is outside the penalty area.

No Play Zone (Ground Under Repair )

All ground within defined areas indicated by GUR signs where that area includes a ‘Play Prohibited’ sign is to be treated as a no-play zone and the player must take free relief under Rule 16.1f (2) if his or her ball is on the course and anything in the no play zone interferes within the player’s area of intended stance or swing.  The player must not play the ball as it lies.

All the trees and plants are protected and defined as No Play Zone. If a player’s ball lies anywhere on the course other than in a penalty area and it lies on or touches such as a tree or a plant interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the player must take free relief under Rule 16.1f.

unless otherwise special above or the breach is covered by a Rule of Golf; General Penalty

(Lost of Hole in Match Play, 2-Stoke penalty in Stroke Play).
