GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS

National Golf & Country Club (“the Club”) is owned and operated by DM Sport & Energy SRL and hereby adopts the following Rules and Regulations under which the operations of the Club will be governed. The Regulations have been established to ensure the enjoyment, safety, and protection of the Members and Guests of the Club and to assure orderly and enjoyable play on the golf course. The Club reserves the right to cancel or modify such rules and regulations whenever it deems necessary. It is the duty of all Members and Guests to familiarize themselves with these rules.

Hours of Operation

Operating hours of the Club will be determined by the management team and will be set with the sole purpose of serving the Members and Guests in mind.

 

Booking and Registration

A booking is required for playing the course and all players must register in the reception or online, prior to entering the course.

 

Dress Code

Clubhouse, Dining Rooms & Outdoor Patio

Appropriate casual attire is acceptable in the clubhouse and dining rooms including denim. Bathing suits are not permitted and gentlemen are asked to remove their hats while indoors, just kidding in regards with the hats, keep them on.

 

Golf Course

Members and guests are required to wear appropriate and proper golfing attire. Golf clothing of the type displayed in the golf pro shop is a good guideline. No swimwear or tank tops are allowed on the course or practice facilities. National Golf & Country Club requires spike-less golf shoes – no metal spikes are allowed.

 

Conduct

Good conduct must be observed by Members and Guests at all times at the Club. All Members are responsible for the conduct of their Family and Guests. No Member shall reprimand or in any way abuse an employee of the Club but shall report all instances of misconduct or other complaints to the Head Golf Professional or General Manager. Employees are not permitted to leave their stations, and Members are requested not to send employees on errands without consulting the appropriate supervisor. Any employee not rendering courteous and prompt service should be reported to the Head Golf Professional or General Manager.

There shall be no loud, boisterous or profane language used by any person on the golf courses or in any room or facility of the Club. Members and guests are responsible for the personal conduct of their family members and guests while such persons are on the grounds of National Golf & Country Club. Any conduct of a member or the guest of a member unbecoming a lady or gentleman will be reported to the Club’s personnel for appropriate action as outlined in the by-laws.

 

 

Special Events

The Club reserves the right to conduct private tournaments and other functions at the Club from which Members and Guests may be excluded, specifically tournaments which may be held from time to time to enhance the reputation of the Club.  Guests will respect their positions in this regard.

 

Catering

The Club is an ideal setting for grand occasions and creating memories to treasure for a lifetime. We hope that you will think of National Golf & Country Club first when planning your next special event. We feature delicious cuisine, stress-free planning, and a staff dedicated to your every need. Our clubhouse and golf course views create the perfect setting for gatherings of 1000+ people or an intimate gathering of just 10.

Vista Point Restaurant

The restaurant is open to members, guests, and visitors during operational hours. Reservations are recommended for large groups or special occasions. Outside food and beverages are not permitted. The Club is not liable for adverse reactions to food items; guests with allergies should notify staff in advance.

Golf Course

The golf course is available to members and paying guests. Tee times must be booked in advance; cancellations are subject to the Club’s cancellation policy. Golfers must adhere to the rules of play and respect the course’s upkeep. Littering, reckless play, and disruptions to other golfers are prohibited.

Clubhouse

The clubhouse is accessible to members, guests, and visitors during operational hours. Appropriate behavior and attire are required at all times. Outside food and beverages are not permitted unless authorized. Damage to Clubhouse property will be the responsibility of the individual(s) involved.

Buggy Car Use

Buggy cars are available for hire and must be booked in advance.

Users must hold a valid driver’s license and follow safety guidelines provided by the Club. Damage to the buggy or Club property while in use will be the responsibility of the hirer. Buggies are to be used only on designated pathways unless otherwise authorized.

The Club reserves the right to deny buggy use in adverse weather conditions for safety reasons.

Should the Head Greenkeeper deem it necessary to ban the use of trolleys and buggies on the course, whether these are rented or owned by the residents, players may not use them. When such a ban is in force, the only exception is when the Management decide to exempt individuals for physical or medical reasons.

Hiring

Equipment or venue hire is subject to availability and must be confirmed with the Club in advance. A deposit may be required for equipment or venue bookings, refundable upon satisfactory return. Hirers are responsible for ensuring proper use of hired items and may be charged for damages or losses. Cancellation policies will apply as outlined in the hiring agreement.

Practice Facilities

Practice facilities are open to members and guests during specified hours. Proper golf attire and footwear must be worn at all times. Practice balls and equipment provided by the Club must not be removed from the premises. Users are responsible for their safety and that of others; any misuse of facilities may result in penalties. Practice balls are strictly prohibited on the course. Any player found using practice balls will be asked to leave without a refund.

Locker Rooms

The locker rooms are available for daily use by members and guests only.

We have two types of locker rooms available:

  • one designated for long-term rentals, available on a monthly or annual basis, and rentals can be arranged at the pro shop.
  • and the other for daily use as shower lockers, free of charge.

Please note that golf clubs are not permitted to be stored in the daily-use shower lockers.

Locker rooms are for the use of members and guests during their visit. Items left in lockers are the responsibility of the user; the Club is not liable for loss or theft.

Purchasing

Items purchased from the Club’s pro shop or other outlets are non-refundable unless faulty. Warranty claims on purchased goods will follow the manufacturer’s policies. Pricing is subject to change without prior notice.

Purchasing

Gift vouchers are valid for the period stated on the voucher and cannot be extended. Vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.

Tournaments

Tournament participation requires advance registration and payment of applicable fees. Players must comply with tournament rules and respect the decisions of the officials. The Club reserves the right to disqualify players for misconduct or rule violations.

 

Swimming pool

The swimming pool is open to members and guests upon payment of a daily swimming pool fee. Swimmers must follow lifeguard instructions and posted safety rules. Running, diving, and rough play are prohibited. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Tennis Court

Tennis courts must be booked in advance through the Club’s booking system. Appropriate tennis attire and footwear are required. Court time limits may apply during busy periods. Players are responsible for the care of court equipment and facilities.

Event Hall

The event hall is available for hire for private and corporate events. Booking confirmation requires a deposit; cancellations are subject to the Club’s cancellation policy. The hirer is responsible for adhering to capacity limits and safety regulations. Any damage or additional cleaning required will incur additional charges. Children

The club welcomes and encourages family use. Children must be five years old to be on the golf course.  The adult is responsible at all times for the behavior and safety of the child. Adults must NOT leave children unattended when they are in a golf cart or anywhere on the property. We have an extensive year-round calendar of social events for kids at the Club.  We offer a Kids Academy, learning programs, and holiday camps led by our club professional.

 

Sale / Use of Goods

No articles or services of any kind shall be exposed for sale on Club property and no subscription papers shall be circulated nor advertisements displayed, except those pertaining to items available to the Members and guests. No member or guest shall bring alcohol on the premises. National Golf & Country Club reserves the right to restrict play in the event that alcohol is brought onto the property.

Advertising

Commercial advertising shall not be posted or circulated on the Club property nor shall any business be solicited on the Club premises. No petitions shall be originated, solicited, circulated, posted or signed on the Club premises, unless specifically approved by the General Manager.

Member agrees to receive periodic in-house newsletters, general information or marketing related offers from National Golf & Country Club and its partners.

 

Parking

Parking will only be allowed in designated areas. Changing of clothes in the parking lots is not permitted. Lockers are available in the public restrooms and are designated for this purpose. The Club will not be responsible for loss of or damage to any automobile or motorcycle on Club property.

 

Injury, Loss or Damage

The Club assumes no liability for injury occurring on the golf course or any areas of the Club. Members and Guests use the Club facilities at their own risk, including, but not limited to, during inclement weather and lightning activity. All persons using or entering the Club premises assume the risk of personal injury and the loss of personal property and release the Club and its affiliates, management, partners, shareholders, officers, agents, and employees from any and all liability for such injury and losses. Members and Guests using a golf cart accept and assume all responsibility for liability connected with operation of the golf cart. Members and Guests expressly indemnify and agree to hold harmless the Club and their officers, directors, employees, affiliates, representatives and agents from any and all damages, whether direct or consequential, arising from or related to the Members or Guests use and operation of the golf cart. Damage to or loss of property of the Club, or of its Members or Guests, caused by a Member or a Member’s Guest or Family, will be the responsibility of the Member and shall be charged to the Member. The Club will not be responsible for any loss of, or injury to, any property of Members or Guests. The Club will not be responsible for loss of valuables, clothing, golf bags, clubs or other property. The Club will not be responsible for loss of or damage to any automobile or motorcycle on Club property.

 

Pets Policy

Dogs are not allowed either on the course itself or in the Clubhouse, with the exception of Assistance or Guide Dogs. They are, however, allowed on the residential patio area.

Membership

The membership and/or the membership cards are not transferable to any other person/s under any circumstances. Any lost or stolen cards must be reported to the club’s manager immediately. The Member undertakes to ensure that all personal records, pertaining to Membership, that may change are updated with our staff. Memberships might be subject to an annual price increase.

Membership cycles run annually starting with sign up date. An invoice will be sent to your email address provided after each payment. Membership Subscriptions are continuous from cycle to cycle.

Cancellation of Membership: Membership Subscriptions are continuous from cycle to cycle and the cancelation of your Membership, by you, must be terminated by sending us a ONE CALENDAR MONTH WRITTEN NOTICE to: contact@nationalgolf.ro or hand delivered to the Golf Manager. All arrears must be settled when exiting the Club.

Be Kind to Fellow Golfers

As you play, replace or sand divots; repair ball marks on the greens; use bunker rakes appropriately; keep all trash in the cart or your golf bag; be courteous and aware of other players as you play… carry-on conversations. Persons found damaging course property or equipment may have membership privileges suspended immediately.

Professionals

Only professionals employed by the Club may teach on the Club premises.

Golf Rules and Regulations

The Rules of Golf as adopted by the USGA / R&A and local club rules together with the Rules of Etiquette as adopted by the USGA / R&A and local club rules shall be the rules of the Club.

General Course Rules

A booking is required for playing the course and all players must register in the reception or online, prior entering the course.

All players must start play from the first tee unless otherwise permitted by the Golf Professional.

“Cutting in” is not permitted at any time. All players must check in with the Starter after registering in the Golf Pro Shop.

There will be no practicing on any part of the golf course except the practice range or practice green. Removal of range balls from the practice area is prohibited.

Only professionals employed by the Club may teach on the Club premises.

All food and beverage must be purchased from the Club. No beverage coolers are permitted on the course unless provided by the Club.

Each player is required to have their own set of golf clubs.

Children must be five years old to be on the golf course.  The adult is responsible at all times for the behavior and safety of the child. Adults must NOT leave children unattended when they are in a golf cart. Only two people are allowed in a golf cart at any time. Children 10 years of age and older may play on the golf course and must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on the golf course until they are 13 years old.  All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult at all times when the child is at the practice facility.

Jogging, bicycling, fishing or recreational walking is not permitted on the golf course.

Walking is allowed for those playing golf at all times when the golf course is open.

 

Rain Policy

If the course greens become flooded and unplayable, credit will be issued for the remaining unplayed holes. Members and guest must check the rain and weather conditions and can check the course conditions at the reception.

Golf Starting Times

National Golf & Country Club Members may reserve tee times twelve (12) days prior to the date of play while all other golfers may reserve tee times five (5) days prior to the date of play.

The policy for reserving tee times may vary from time to time at the discretion of The Club and will be implemented under the supervision the Golf Professional. In order to accommodate the maximum number of golfers, National Golf & Country Club Members are allowed to make up to two tee times per day.

All tee times are subject to availability. Any group not on the tee and ready to play on time, will lose its tee time.

Cancellations of tee times are requested by 12:00 p.m. one day prior to the scheduled tee time. Frequent “No Shows” or late cancellations may result in payment in advance, suspension from playing for one month, or no longer being able to play in the future.

Customers will receive first a verbal warning, for a second No Show a written warning. 

The third No Show will res in a suspension for one month.  The fourth will result in no longer being able to play in the future.

The first group of the day is required to play behind the maintenance staff that is preparing the greens for play.

Twosomes should not expect to play through foursomes and should not exert any pressure on the groups ahead. Foursomes and threesomes shall have the right of way.

Twosomes and singles will be grouped with other players, if available, and if necessary, at starting times determined by the Club’s staff.

The Director and/or the Golf Club Starter may, at their sole discretion allow a fivesome player group.

Golf Cart Rules

The use of private golf carts and unauthorized vehicles is prohibited on club property.

The Club may approve the use of private carts upon request.

Carts must be rented from the Club.

If an additional cart is needed for a spectator, a cart fee will apply per spectator riding in the cart.

A valid driver’s license is required to operate golf carts.

Carts are to be kept at least 15 meters from greens and tees.

Drivers must use the rough whenever possible.

Drivers must avoid soft areas on fairways, especially after rain and in wet conditions.

Golf carts are to be used on the course only and must be returned to the clubhouse upon completion of play.

Golf carts are not permitted in the parking lot.

A maximum of two people, including small children, are allowed to ride in a golf cart.

Children up to 10 years old must never be left in a golf cart by themselves.

Golfers should always exercise caution when parking carts near lakes and waterways.

Please ensure that parking brakes are set.

Golfers are asked to report any cart malfunctions immediately after their round. Any damage to a club-owned cart by a Member, Guest or Visitor will be the responsibility of the Member, Guest or Visitor. When operating a cart, operators assume all risks and shall be liable for any and all damages sustained to person, property and/or cart in their operation.

Pull/push carts are allowed at the practice facility at any time and on the golf course during walking times. Please keep pull carts out of bunkers and off of greens.

Private golf carts owned by residents may only be used by family members and are not available for rent or use by others. External buggies are not allowed on the course unless expressly approved by management.

 

Handicaps

Handicaps are computed under the supervision of the Golf Professional in accordance with current USGA recommendations and charged to membership accounts annually.

All Members and their Guests with a USGA approved handicap may play the course and participate in club tournaments. The Club’s staff may review all handicaps submitted and keep records of all entries into National Golf & Country Club.

The Club reserves the right to adjust handicaps for regular play, or Club tournament play.

The Club reserves the right to deny any person entry into regular or tournament play for handicap manipulation.

 

Golf Course Etiquette

Members and their Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which will reflect the highest standards of the game of golf. Serious breaches of etiquette or displays of poor sportsmanship will result in prompt and appropriate disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion, and in the case of Guest or visitors, withdrawal of future privileges.

Courtesy must always be exhibited towards other players.

Speed of Play. Each 18-hole round should be completed in four hours and thirty minutes by a foursome. This amount of time is more than adequate, provided all players remain aware of the rights of others to play without delay. It is the responsibility of each group to keep pace with the group ahead. It is each group’s responsibility to be observant of its position on the course and keep pace.

All players who stop after playing nine holes for any reason must occupy the next tee before the following players arrive at the tee or they shall lose their position on the golf course.

When play of a hole is completed, leave the green immediately and proceed to the next tee where scoring may be recorded while teeing off.

Repair all ball marks on greens and place sand in all divots taken.

Discard all trash in receptacles located around the course.

Enter and leave bunkers at the nearest level point to the green and smooth sand over with a rake.

Refrain from intentionally damaging the greens, tees and/or fairways. The Club will levy individual fines for willful destruction to greens, tees and/or fairways as deemed appropriate.

Complaints & Comments

Complaints, comments, and suggestions from Members are always welcome and should be directed to the Head Golf Professional or General Manager.

The following should be provided when reporting misconduct:

  • Name or golf cart number of offender
  • Name of another group member at the time of infraction
  • Date, time and location of infraction
  • Witness to the infraction other than person reporting the infraction

All reporting members are kept confidential. The Head Golf Professional and General Manager will adjudicate all infractions and issue appropriate action under authority of National Golf & Club. The Head Golf Professional and General Manager are required to enforce all decisions set forth by the Club.

Misconduct

Any misconduct or rules infractions will result in disciplinary actions:

  • First Offense – Verbal Warning
  • Second Offense – Written Warning
  • Third Offense – 100€ Fine
  • Fourth Offense – Suspension from golf course for a time deemed sufficient by the Club

These Rules & Regulations are subject to change at any given time by National Golf & Country Club. National Golf & Country Club reserves the right to withdraw any product/service at any time. The Club may at any time withdraw all or part of the facilities for any period relating to repair, alteration or refurbishment or for any reasons.

No variation of this agreement shall be of any force or effect unless such variation shall be reduced to writing and signed by both parties.
